Accessibility Statement

How we make this website usable for everyone, and how to tell us if something is hard to use.

KasiryeLabs wants everyone to be able to use this website — including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or who are sensitive to motion.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we test the site with automated checks and by hand with a keyboard.

Adjust the site to suit you

Use the accessibility button (the person icon at the bottom left of every page) to:

  • make the text larger
  • switch on high contrast
  • underline every link
  • stop animations, moving logos and slides
  • use a font designed for low vision (Atkinson Hyperlegible)
  • add more space between lines, words and letters

Your choices are saved in your browser, so they stay on as you move around the site. You can also zoom the page up to 200% with your browser, and if your device is set to reduce motion, the site does this automatically.

What we have done

  • Body text, buttons and form fields meet WCAG AA colour contrast. Highlighted words in headings use our brand orange; switch on “High contrast” for a deeper, easier-to-read orange.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Menus, the image viewer and pop-ups close with the Escape key and return you to where you were.
  • Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so screen reader users can jump between sections.
  • Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Form fields have labels, and errors and results are announced.
  • Moving content pauses when you hover over it or focus inside it, and can be stopped completely.

Known limitations

  • The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps and may not be fully accessible. Our address is written out in full next to it, with a “Get directions” link.
  • Portfolio screenshots show other websites we built; we describe each project in text, but not every word inside the screenshots.
  • Some older blog posts may have images without full descriptions. We are updating them.
