Creative Heritage SACCO
Background
Creative Heritage SACCO is a member-owned savings and credit cooperative. It needed one place for its members’ savings, loans and payments, and a proper way to run them behind the counter, with books that can be trusted.
Solution
We built a custom SACCO system from the ground up. Members sign in from their phone to see their balance and statements, follow their loans and pay by mobile money or card, and new members can apply to join online. Tellers serve members from a counter screen with their own tills, while staff manage members, savings, loan products and approvals from the back office. Every shilling goes through a double-entry ledger, so the trial balance, balance sheet, income statement, loan portfolio and UMRA returns come straight from the books, and mobile money statements can be checked against what was posted. The inner screens shown here use sample data, not real members.
